Surjagad Ispat Pvt. Ltd. has set up Gadchiroli- Maharashtra Greenfield Integrated Steel Project And Will Invest Rs 10,000 Crore For It. This Is A Big Achievement For Vidarbha Especially Gadchiroli- Maharashtra.
Joshi said a production capacity of 8 million tons is the long-term projection. In immediate run, there are plan to start off with 0.75 million tons and expand to 2 million tons.
The company has already aplied for an environmental clearance (EC) for which a public hearing is scheduled in September.

Our project includes a 1.6 MTPA Beneficiation Plant, a Sponge Iron Plant of 4 x 650 TPD, an Induction Furnace of 0.75 MTPA, a Rolling Mill of 0.75 MTPA, a Captive Power Plant with a capacity of 150 MW, and we plan to extend up to 2 million tons integrated steel plant in phase 2. Upon completion, we plan to achieve 8 million tons of integrated steel production.”

States- Being the second steel plant in Gadchiroli is just the beginning, as more steel plants are forthcoming. The future holds further development for “Gadchiroli,” propelling the advancement of India.
“We are contributing to our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat by making significant investments and promoting industrial development in Maharashtra. We are establishing an integrated steel plant in the Naxal-affected region of Wadlapeth village, Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, covering an area of 340 acres.”
