Surjagad Ispat Pvt Ltd is an integrated steel plant with an initial capacity of 0.75 MTPA, which will increase to 2 MTPA, producing Thermo Mechanically Treated (TMT) wire rods. The project involves an investment of ₹10,000 crores and is expected to create 7,000 to 8,000 direct and indirect jobs, with 80%-90% of employment opportunities for local residents in Gadchiroli- Maharashtra.

A long-term supply agreement is in place for raw materials from Surjagad mines and pellets from Konseri Steel Plant. Production is set to commence in December 2026.

This facility aims to boost the local economy through job creation while supporting India’s self-reliance in steel production. It utilizes advanced technology to ensure sustainable and efficient operations, reducing environmental impact and enhancing productivity.
